SUMMARY
Loyalty and integrity are probably the least used and practiced words in America today. You don’t even hear them spoken let alone practiced. We’ve become jaded with all the betrayal that goes on all around us today.

Betrayal - anytime you don’t remain true to your core values. It turns out betrayal is nothing new in the bible. Whether it’s Delilah betraying Samson, or David’s son betraying his father, or even more famous, Judas betraying Jesus with a kiss, betrayal is a consistent theme in the bible from start to finish.

But let's get more to the point and let’s get to our own questions. The question is not who among us have committed some form of betrayal. I already know the answer to that question and I hope you do too. The question is not even so much which ones of us have committed the worst forms of betrayal. At this point it doesn’t really matter. The question is, how are we going to deal with it?

In this sermon we are going to look at this topic of betrayal that so permeates the land in which we live and the airwaves which we listen to, on three different levels: business, church and inner personal. Ultimately, our business, our church, and our inner personal betrayals all reflect upon the last and first level, and that is our commitment to Christ.

"The final requirement of effective leadership is to earn trust, otherwise their won’t be any followers. Trust is the conviction that the leader means what he says. It’s a belief in something very old fashioned called integrity." —Peter Drucker
