The church today is a little like Bill Murray in Tokyo, just a little uncertain and just a little confused. Sometimes it is hard to see Jesus in some churches in this country today. Sometimes He gets lost in translation of what we call church.
We know that more and more people are going to fewer and fewer churches in this country.
So, what does it mean to be a Christian in the year 2005? I mean right here, right now, for you and me. What does it look like to be a Christian?

Sometimes churches translate out Jesus.
Here is what we know: There are more options available today then ever before for the average person in America. We know that Islam is growing in this country. We know that Mormonism is growing in this country. We know that mainline protestant churches are continuing to decline in this country. We know that the number of people who say they are not connected to any particular church is growing.We know that more and more people are going to fewer and fewer churches in this country.
So, what does it mean to be a Christian in the year 2005? I mean right here, right now, for you and me. What does it look like to be a Christian?
