Out of change?
Audio sermon by Gordon D. Venturella | 23:26 min
TOPIC: Easter, Change, Death
REFERENCES: 1 Corinthians 15 (NIV)
SUMMARY
Have you run out of change? God is asking you to have the courage to look deep down in your soul to see if you have any change left; areas of your life that you still want to maintain control over; areas of your life that you still think that you know better than God.
God never changes, but He demands constant change from us. The change that He wants from all of us is to turn the ultimate change over to Him, to turn our life over to Him. He wants us to come to the place in our lives where we say before Him, God I'm all out of change. I’m all out of the change that I can produce. The changes that I’ve been using to bring about meaning and fulfillment in my life have not worked. I’m out of change. I guess you’ll have to break me into little pieces and rebuild me to be more than I ever would have been otherwise.
Two views about the ultimate change in life:
1. Death is the final change before defeat.
2. Death is the ultimate change before victory.
What would it mean to our world if Christ had truly risen? What would it mean to you today if Christ is risen? God has given each of us the responsibility of choosing for ourselves. The choice to believe is left to all of us.

MY COMMENTS
This sermon is by no means a typical Easter message which is why I like it and why it is worth listening to. This is not the standard run of the mill sermon that you've probably heard before many times and you will probably hear again at most churches this Easter Sunday. This message is up close and personal, getting to the heart of what it means to believe that Jesus is alive.
